This illustration depicted a dorsal view of a Psorophora sp. mosquito larva, identifying its characteristic dorsal saddle plate, and median ventral brush, both located on the larva’s tail section. If some tufts of the ventral brush are attached to the saddle, which encircles the tenth abdominal segment completely, the larva is a member of the genus, Psorophora.
