Captured in 2016, this image depicts a Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) staff member, gathering together some educational flyers to be placed into what were referred to as a Zika Prevention Kits (PHIL 22665 and 22666). Each kit contained items useful in preventing the transmission of the Zika virus both from mosquitoes to humans, and through human-to-human contact. The kits included insect repellent, larvicides, mosquito netting, and condoms to prevent sexual transmission of Zika. In the background, you’re able to see spray cans of OFF® mosquito repellant, which would also be added to each kit.
