Captured in August 2016, by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) staff member, Briana Reeves, this image depicted Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Laboratory Lead, Lila Rahalison, during a Q&A session, delivering a Rapid Diagnostic Test lecture at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL). Laboratory training for the detection of Cholera was held from August 22-26, at the Laquintinie Regional Hospital in Douala, Cameroon. The event was organized under the auspices of the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), an international project helping countries build capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. This picture was an entry in the 2016 CDC Connects, Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the categories of Programs-International and People–International.
