Under a magnification of 200X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungus, Microsporum canis. In this view, you see numerous macroconidia dispersed amongst a meshwork of the filamentous hyphae. Of note, was the spindle-shape of these reproductive structures, as well as their roughened surface.
