Caption:
This image depicted a close anterior view of a man’s face, revealing the early onset of measles. Especially important, are his watery, reddish-colored eyes, and the appearance of a slight moist sheen on his forehead and cheeks, indicative of an increase in sweating, or diaphoresis, due to his feverish state. See PHIL 22149, for a picture of this same patient’s face, at a point in time, after this image had been captured, highlighting the characteristic macular rash that had developed on his face.
