From what is believed to be 1955, this historic photograph depicted the Communicable Disease Center’s (CDC), Greeley Field Station, from an east to west perspective. It was in 1967, that the CDC merged their Colorado field stations into a single facility, located on the Foothills Campus of Colorado State University, pictured in PHIL 709, 14648, and 21645. This facility was part of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW), now renamed the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In 1992 the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) was renamed, as the modern day Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
