This historic 1967 image, depicted the construction of what at that time, was the Communicable Disease Center’s (CDC) Fort Collins, Colorado facility, which was to become the home of the CDC’s Division of Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases (DVBD), specifically, the Disease Ecology Section, that housed the Arboviral, and Streptococcal Disease Sections. In 1992, the Communicable Disease Center was renamed as the modern day Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
