Caption:
This 1961 image was captured during a field investigation in an unidentified area of Arizona, and depicted the remnants of a deserted Pueblo village, which had been carved into the side of this steep mountainous rock face. Neither the history of this village, nor the reasons for its abandonment were identified. See PHIL 21641, for another view of this carved rock face.
