This photograph depicted a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate, which had contained an unidentified growth medium that had been inoculated with the fungal organism of the genus, Acremonium, formerly referred to as Cephalosporium. In this case, the Acremonium sp. was labeled as the Easter Island-65 strain (EI-65). The colony that had developed, exhibited its characteristic appearance, displaying a suede-like texture, and gray to tan coloration.
