Viewed from the front, this Petri dish culture plate contained an unidentified growth medium, which had been inoculated with the fungal organism, Trichophyton mentagrophytes. The resultant white, to creamy colored colony, exhibited a characteristic granular texture, and a small, depressed center. For a view of this colony from the reverse, see PHIL 21403.
