Under a magnification of 500X, this photomicrograph revealed the presence of Cryptococcus sp. fungal organisms, found in this feline cervical lymph node tissue sample. You can see here, the pink-stained, encapsulated yeast-form organisms, and if you look closely, can see that some of the yeasts were replicating, by way of the process known as budding.
