Caption:
This image depicted an ulceration on the skin of a child, in the region of his left lateral upper arm. This patient also had another ulcerative lesion on his buttock, emanating from his perineum, and encompassing his anal orifice, and could be seen in the intergluteal cleft (see PHIL 21137). These lesions had been attributed to a condition known as pyoderma gangrenosum. However, this upper arm lesion, also returned a positive finding of an accompanying pseudomonas infection.
