Under a magnification of 2000X, this photomicrograph highlights histopathologic details exhibited by a tissue sample stained using the Brown & Brenn technique. Analysis of this sample revealed the presence of numerous, rod-shaped, darkly staining, filamentous Actinomyces sp. bacteria.
