This image was created in November, 2014, by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Scientist, Aaron Sussell, PhD, MPH, and depicts a scenario that took place during a CDC Rapid Ebola Preparedness (REP) team visit to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). In this particular view, CDC REP Team members, which included CDC Nurse Consultant, Jean Randolph, RN (far left, black blazer), CDC Medical Epidemiologist, Nora Chea, MD, MSc (far right, glasses), and guest attendee, Nebraska Medical Center, Director of the Biocontainment Unit, Shelly Schwedhelm (center with red badge lanyard), were meeting with a number of VCU medical center representatives in order to discuss the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), by nurses who would provide patient care in the medical ICU. This was one of the entries in the 2015 CDC Connects, Public Health in Action Photo Contest.
