Entitled, “Packing for Ebola Deployment”, this 2015 image was captured by CDC Health Scientist, Oscar Tarragó, MD, MPH, and depicts the packing he’d done in his preparation for his deployment from Conakry, the capital city of Guinea, to the Forécariah Prefecture, a rural area of communities affected by Ebola. This photo earned Dr. Tarragó the Third Place award in the 2015 CDC Connects Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “International People and Programs”.
