Under a magnification of 26X, this photograph depicted a close view of a grouping of mosquito eggs, that had been laid upon an ovitrap paddle, by an adult Ochlerotatus triseriatus mosquito, also known as Aedes triseriatus. Commonly known as the tree hole mosquito, O. triseriatus has been identified in mosquito pools reported as positive for the West Nile virus (WNV), and is also a known vector for the La Crosse virus.
