Pictured here, was a Brazilian Field Epidemiology Training Program (BFETP) staff member in the process of interviewing a mother who was caring for her two children. The mother’s responses were being recorded using a standard epidemiologic-based questionnaire.
Additional Information:
The FETP trains workers on the ground to help countries build sustainable capacity for detecting and responding to health threats. The program develops in-country expertise so that disease outbreaks can be detected locally and prevented from spreading. See the link below, for more on the FETP.
