Under a very low magnification of 2.5X, this image depicted a view of a Petri dish culture plate that contained a growth medium of brain heart infusion (BHI) agar, which had been inoculated with Actinomyces parabifidus, also known as Bifidobacterium bifidum, bacteria, and after having undergone a 14-day incubation period, gave rise to this bacterial colony with its ruffled edges.
