Viewed from the side, this low-magnification view of a Petri dish culture plate, highlighted two Bacillus anthracis bacterial colonies. The colony on the left was untouched, while the colony on the right was teased, thereby, illustrating its characteristic colonial tenacity, and the fact that a small spire of colonial matter remained standing, on its own support without toppling.
