Under a magnification of 570X, and viewed using a fluorescent antibody (FA) staining technique, this photomicrograph of a sample extracted from a patient’s nasal lesion, revealed the presence of Cryptococcus neoformans organisms, as evidenced by these glowing blue fungal cells, which were in the process of finalizing their reproductive budding process, and dividing into two complete organisms.
