The left side of this Nigerian woman’s neck, exhibited a malformation known as a keloid, which is a scar composed primarily of an overgrowth of granulation tissue at the site of a traumatic injury. See PHIL 20261, for an anterior view of this patient’s condition, but from an earlier time period, which shows a progressive enlargement of the keloidal tissue.
