This photomicrograph of a tonsillar tissue specimen was processed using the fluorescent antibody (FA) staining method, revealed the presence of the Gram-positive bacterium, Actinomyces eriksonii, also known as, Bifidobacterium eriksonii. In this case, the bacterium was strain X407, and was visualized here, using a UGI filter, and a EUPHOS eyepiece filter.
