Captured in Lahore, Pakistan, in June 2012, this image showed Pakistani Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) first cohort resident, Dr. Ambreen, in the process of conducting interviews with a young father, as he held his child, while answering the requisite questions during this post-campaign monitoring (PCM) survey. The FETP trains workers on the ground to help countries build sustainable capacity for detecting and responding to health threats. The program develops in-country expertise so that disease outbreaks can be detected locally and prevented from spreading.
