Captured in February 2013, on the Caribbean island nation of Haiti, three years after a devastating earthquake, this image depicted the interior of the Malaria Laboratory located inside Haiti’s National Public Health Lab, Laboratoire National de Santé Publique, situated in the country’s capital, Port-au-Prince. In this view, you can see some of the boxed paraphernalia used in the diagnostic procedures used by the laboratory technician, when dealing with malaria.
