This image depicted Pakistani Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) residents, Dr. Ayaz Chohan, and Dr. Khushal Khan Kasi, as they were in the process of interviewing a Pakistani girl during an immunization coverage survey in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan. You can see that a number of curious neighborhood kids had gathered around this activity. The acquisition of this survey data would enable public health field workers to focus their efforts on those geographic regions, which are most in need of disease prevention vaccine medications, thereby, bringing such communities closer to a point, when they can declare freedom from many vaccine-preventable diseases like polio, and tuberculosis.
