This image from 2002, depicts a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) scientist, who was dressed in her airtight, blue colored, protective suit, including a facemask, while she was going about her tasks, inside the confines of a Biosafety Level-4 laboratory (BSL-4). While the scientist was suited up, fresh air was supplied by the red, coiled tube behind her, which was attach to her suit. One of her laboratory colleagues in the background, also dressed in his BSL-4 safety suit.
