Under a magnification of 970X, this photomicrograph reveals some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by a species of mold belonging to the genus, Acremonium, formerly known as Cephalosporium. Though poorly defined in this particular view (see PHIL 19137 for a clearer view), you’ll note the hyaline, filamentous hyphae, and the clusters of oblong conidia.
