Caption:
Photographed in 1975, this historic photograph depicted what was a street scene commonly encountered in the East India State of Bihar. In this particular view, a wooden scaffold had been erected, in order to perform some renovations on the façade of this unidentified building. The scaffolding was simplistic, but would suffice as an infrastructural support system for the workers. The photograph was captured by a Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Bureau of State Services staff member, during one of the smallpox immunization-related trips to that region of the world.
