Photographed in 1975 in the East India State of Bihar, this photograph depicted a farm planted with an unidentified food crop, and upon which stood a number of thatched huts, which acted as dwelling places for this land’s caretakers. If you look closely, you’ll be able to see a number of Bihari villagers managing their crops. The photograph was captured by a Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Bureau of State Services staff member, during one of the smallpox immunization-related trips to that region of the world.
