This Petri dish culture plate contained a blood agar growth medium, which after having been inoculated with the Gram-positive bacterial organism, Sarcina flava, gave rise to these finely granular, raised, round colonies that averaged 0.4-0.6cm in diameter, and in this case, were non-pigmented.
