Caption:
Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph depicted a number of conidiophores of the fungal organism, Penicillium frequentans, also referred to as Penicillium glabrum. These conidiophores were topped by strands of conidia, producing the familiar brush-like configuration common to this genus. There were also some long free-floating chains of conidia as well.
