Caption:
This Petri dish culture plate contained a growth medium of blood agar, which had been inoculated with Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, formerly Pseudomonas maltophilia bacteria. Note that after having been incubated for an unknown time period, these bacteria gave rise to colonies, which exhibited a characteristic lavender-green coloration.
