Caption:
This rhesus monkey, Macaca mulatta, was crouched in a forest somewhere in northern India, during a 1974 trip made by Centers for Disease Control (CDC) personnel to that region. At the time, public health personnel were in the process of collecting some of these monkeys in order to transport them back to the United States.
