Under a magnification of 1000X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology displayed by the aerobic, Gram-positive bacteria of the genus, Micromonospora. This bacterium forms true mycelia that are composed of hyphae, from which the reproductive spores arise. Note the many filamentous hyphae present in this micrograph.
