This 2014 image, captured in Sierra Leone, by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Public Health Analyst, Daniel “Dan” Martin, reveals the beauty that surrounds the country’s Ebola stricken communities. Rice fields, papaya, and banana continue to prosper, as well as coconut and oil-kernel palms. A common sight seen all over the lower lying parts of Sierra Leone, are rice paddies like the one pictured here, shielded from the wind by the lush greenery surrounding the paddy field.
