Produced by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), in conjunction with the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH), Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML), this transmission electron microscopic (TEM) image, revealed ultrastructural details exhibited by numerous, Coxiella burnetii bacteria, which cause the worldwide disease known, as Q fever.
