This photograph depicts the head, neck and chest of an infant, who had been infected with the Morbillivirus, the cause of measles, or rubeola. The baby was displaying the characteristic rash associated with this viral infection. Note that the rash had spread to all regions visible in this photograph, involving the baby’s face upper extremities, and torso.
