This image from 1974, depicted a scene said to be somewhere in Northern India, and was captured during a trip made by a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) staff member, in order to capture native monkeys that would be added to the Center’s breeding colony in Atlanta, Georgia. In this particular scene, a man was strolling in what appeared to be a mountainous region, while behind him you can see a winding riverbed containing some flowing water. This river water was a source of drinking water, not only for the local fauna, which included the primate inhabitants, but the human inhabitants as well, including the members of this CDC expedition.
