This image depicts a mother and her three children, inside a Dekalb County, Georgia Well-Baby immunization clinic in 1977. Two nurses were also present. One nurse was seated, as she prepared the vaccinations to be administered to the children, while the second nurse stood by, holding the youngest child in her arms. Well-baby clinics are public health, tax-supported medical facilities, which aid in childhood, as well as family health-related matters, usually at a reduced cost to visitors. They are most well-known for providing immunizations for childhood diseases, including diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, Haemophilus influenzae type-b, hepatitis-B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
