This male patient presented with a gonorrhea infection caused by the Gram-negative diplococcal bacterium, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, along with a simultaneous infestation of Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis mites, or scabies. Note the purulent discharge at the tip of the penis within the urinary meatus caused by the gonorrhea, as well as the cutaneous vesiculopapular lesions on his upper thighs, due to the scabies infestation.
