Under a magnification of 100X, and using an oil-emersion technique, this photomicrograph of the TATLOCK strain of Gram-negative, Legionella micdadei bacteria, revealed numerous bacterial organisms. This specimen had been prepared in a conjugated egg yolk sac suspension, and processed using direct fluorescent antibody (DFA) staining.
