This Petri dish culture plate contained a growth medium of Sabouraud dextrose agar, atop which a large colony of the fungal organism, Corynascus sepedonium, formerly known as Thielavia sepedonium, had been cultivated. Note the characteristic off white color of the colony, and its relatively flat profile, and cottony texture, exhibiting a denser, whiter central region.
