This 1974 image depicted former Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Associate Director for Health Laboratory Manpower Development, in the Laboratory Program Office, Dr. Marion Brooke, as he was in the process of conducting a class at the CDC offered by what was the former Public Health Laboratory Practice (PHLP), Graduate Program. This class consisted of a group of four University of North Carolina students, Michael Kimberly, Don Stalons, Rudy Romero, and Gilda Jones.
