This image depicts a close view of a child’s right eye, revealing an eyelid coloboma, or a full thickness defect in the upper lid in the usual site of this type of malformation, at a point where the middle, and medial thirds of the lid intersect. This condition resulted from the child being afflicted with a case of congenital rubella, also known as German measles.
