Containing a growth medium of Sabouraud dextrose agar, this Petri dish culture plate produced a colony of the filamentous fungus, Gliocladium. As was the case here, Gliocladium spp. fungi produce what is described as a cottony textured colonies, which initially exhibit a white, to a creamy coloration, but as they mature, these colonies can transition into a pinkish-rose, as well as a dark green coloration as well. On the reverse side, the colonies exhibit a white to yellowish coloration.
