Caption:
This trichrome-stained photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural features exhibited by a parasitic organism known as, Entamoeba histolytica. This mature cyst displayed an oblong-shaped chromatin body, and in this focal plane, three of the organism’s four nuclei were clearly visible, each with its centrally-situated karyosome. One nucleus was blurred in this view.
