This is one in a series of twenty-four images (PHIL 16125 - 16148) captured at a memorial ceremony exhibit entitled, “Honoring Dr. Stephen B. Thacker”. Depicted was a desk clock, which had been presented to Dr. Thacker during his tenure as the Director of the Epidemiology Program Office (EPO) from 1989-2004. A gold plate on the clock was inscribed with the following, “Stephen D. Thacker, M.D., M.Sc., Director, Epidemiology Program Office, August 1989-September 2004”. The photographic series was compiled March 2013. The CDC Public Health Library and Information Center hosted an exhibit honoring Dr. Thacker’s life and contributions to the CDC. The exhibit remained on display from early February, through the EIS Conference in late April of 2013.
