This historic 1975 image was captured in the village of Pawapuri, which is located in the Nalanda District of the Indian State of Bihar in Eastern India. In this particular scene, an Indian healthcare worker was in the process of conducting interviews, here, speaking with the father of a child who had succumbed to smallpox, in order to determine the source of the infection.
