This Petri dish culture plate had contained a medium of Müller-Hinton agar, to which a 1% IsoVitaleX™, and 4% Fildes enrichment medium had been added. This medium was then inoculated with Legionella bacteria, the cause of Legionnaire’s disease, resulting in the production of a visible brown pigment as the bacterial culture matured.
