This 2013 image depicted some of the contents included in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) H7N9 diagnostic test kit. The kit contains rRT-PCR reagents for use by laboratories to detect human infections with the H7N9 virus. CDC has developed diagnostic test materials to specifically detect the avian influenza A (H7N9) virus found in China. These test materials included rRT-PCR reagents (primers and probes), controls, and an rRT-PCR test protocol. These materials were made available for ordering from the Influenza Reagent Repository (IRR) website.
